Memphis, Tenn. - Come join us for an afternoon of fun and excitement at the 9th annual “Wine and Whiskers” silent auction benefiting Mewtopia Cat Rescue. The event will be held on the grounds of Mewtopia at 734 Mt. Moriah on Saturday, June 12, 2010, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. (Rain date June 13th.)
Enjoy hors d’oeuvres by Wade and Company and wines by the Grateful Palate as you peruse our available auction items. Local artwork, jewelry, various gift certificates and pet items will be up for grabs. Browse through our facility and spend some time with the adoptable cats and kittens that benefit directly from your generous support. A $30 per person or $50 per couple donation is requested, and all proceeds will benefit Mewtopia. Cash and checks only please.
Mewtopia is a ten year old non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing homeless, abused, abandoned or owner-relinquished cats. Staffed entirely by volunteers, Mewtopia found homes for over 150 cats in 2009. Educating the public about responsible pet ownership and the importance of controlling the pet population through spaying and neutering is one of our top priorities.
